South African Mohair Throws

One of my favorite products in our current catalogue comes from South Africa - the mohair throws. These are the lightest and fluffiest mohair - or for that matter any material - throws that you will come across. When I found this producer I immediately fell in love with their mohair product and had a hard time to choose which of their fabulous assortment of colors I wanted to bring to my customers. And my own home - I own several of the mohair throws and have them color-coordinated in several rooms. They are unbeatable for their warmth and versatility. I use them in the cooler months, of course, but even on not so warm summer evenings out on the terrace - more like a blanket of shawl than a throw at that time. Their wonderful colors pop in any environment and make a cosy design statement when draped over beds, sofas or armchairs.

Mohair Throw Cleaning

Delicate materials like mohair have the bad reputation of being hard to clean or keep clean. Nothing could be further from the truth, as I have discovered. These mohair throws are easy to keep clean and if you have to clean them after a while a hand wash with a soft detergent in cool water will do the trick. Do not dry them in the dryer - either spread them out on towels to dry or hang them on a trouser hanger and let dry. Fluff them after drying and they are ready to go back to their place in your home.
